New Afon Church of St. Simon Kananit The obverse in the upper central part of the mirror field there is a relief image of emblem of the Bank of Abkhazia, under it there is an inscription in the Abkhaz language “Apsny Abank”, over the emblem in a semicircle the inscriptions indicate the coin value of 1 apsar, on the right side there is the brand name and the name of the mint. In the lower part of the coin on the matte field there are relief inscriptions in small print “Ассны Абанк” in five lines and the year of minting “2016” is indicated. New Afon Church of St. Simon Kananit The reverse depicts the New Afon Church of St. Simon Kananit. In the upper left corner there is the image of the cross and vessels for water, which are the symbol of St. Simon Kananit. Around the inscription in Abkhazian language there is "New Athos Church of St. Simon Kananit." In the lower part - under the image of the temple are the dates of construction.

From the front and back of the coins around the circumference there is a protruding edging.
